Another successful WSD event – March 14’s World Speech Day 2023 Kuala Lumpur! 

 

Our speakers were a good mix of regulars like Suriya Selvam and her mom, Mageswari, Karyn Yadlyn, Kamalinee Gaayathri, Samuel Sham, Dr Yahya Farid (who incidentally came all the way from Penang) and Balsans Creative Kidz as well as first-time participants like Shawn Malique Shahrizal, Anushiya Vakulinathan, Lim Jia Yen, Dr Shakthy Thewi Pillai and celebrated parenting author Jamilah Samian. Not forgetting too, a strong cast of supportive WSD community members like Ahmad Fakhri, Ang Wee Kien, Betty Phua and Rohijas Md Sharif. 

 

One word to describe the speakers who went on stage to speak: Brilliant.

This is the fifth year, we are hosting World Speech Day – and today’s event, WSD 2023 Kuala Lumpur saw twenty-seven speakers in action at the YMCA Kuala Lumpur.

First 15 Registrations for WSD 2023 Kuala Lumpur

We've collected the first 15 registrations – and e-dockets #001-#015 have been issued:

WSD 2023 International Women's Day

World Speech Day is celebrated every year on March 15 in 100-plus countries all around the globe. 

 

But some chapters will also have in their calendars, additional World Speech Days. We, in WSD Kuala Lumpur make it a point to celebrate World Children’s Day on November 20. 

 

And WSD South Africa promote International Women’s Day on March 08 – this year, we were beckoned to nominate a Malaysian to speak at this virtual event. [Special thanks to Vino Pillay for the invite].
