Ahamd Fakhri Speaks

We had mentioned about Ahmad Fakhri (left) in March – an erudite speaker who has a penchant for eloquent expression.

Hmmm, I suddenly realize that I didn't post the promo poster in this blog – my sincere apologies, folks!

So here is that poster which I'm sure you would have seen it in other social media platforms that we are also using:

It's not often that we get to hear speakers who can hold our attention. He speaks well, not only in terms of content but also delivery. When you can do both well, in our books, you're a good speaker!

For sure, Ahmad meets our criteria.

CV+ were indeed privileged to have him grace our World Speech Day 2020 Melaka on March 15 – and I’m going to share with you his talk that he had articulately presented on that day. Really, it was both insightful and illuminating.

His topic was "Are We Ready to Embrace A.I. in Public Speaking?":

Thanks again, Ahmad for your sharing!

WSD 2020 Melaka

Melaka represents our third city where we hosted World Speech Day this year, in addition to Kuala Lumpur and Penang.

The historical city is a good choice because it is sort of midway between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Why this is a strategic location is because this year, we partnered with our Singaporean friends to jointly organize this WSD event.

And it turned out to be a ground-breaking event. Not only did we pull it off but if I may say so myself, it was a success.

Granted we had a small turn-up – but it must be mentioned that the participants, with one or two exceptions were not from Melaka or anywhere nearby. We were either from Kuala Lumpur and/or Singapore.

Check out our photos of the said event:

WSD 2020 Penang

On March 14, I took the train to Butterworth in Penang. This was for World Speech Day that we hosted the following day for the very first time outside of Kuala Limpur.

We only managed to collect a small group of participants but that’s okay. What matters are the speeches and the friendships we made – and which laid the foundation for next year’s WSD event.

Thanks to Hotel Ixora staffers and members of Kelab Pidato Perdana in the north who came to support.
