On September 04, 2020, we were at SMK Subang Utama in Subang Jaya, Selangor for a World Speech Day event.
Their students had registered their interest to take part in our main event on March 15 – but because of Covid-19, they couldn’t make it. This was two days before the national lockdown.
Nonetheless, we gave them a second opportunity, just so they can speak and share their eloquence with the world.
Altogether, thirty-three students answered the call – and it was indeed a very productive day at the school. Our special thanks to English teacher, Jacob Mathew (right) for putting this together!
Indeed, we were bowled over by the quality of their speeches. BTW, the speeches all revolved around this year's theme, i.e. Transformation.
In addition to listening to the speeches, we also provided both oral and written feedback to the speakers.
